Sefton Enterprise Business Partnership - Business Mentor Volunteer

Education is very important to Maximum Impact Solutions, and as such Julia has decided to become a volunteer with the Sefton Enterprise Business Partnership (Sefton EBP).

Sefton EBP is an Liverpool organisation whose aim is to "equip students who struggle in school with a set of skills that will help them achieve their potential"

The scheme is largely aimed at students coming to the end of Year 10 and embraces schools from Southport, Formby, Bootle, Maghull and Crosby.

As well as work experience and mock interviews, Sefton EBP also stages enterprise awareness days, workshops, careers forums and provides some pupils with special 'business mentors'.

Julia who is extremely passionate about learning and entrepreneurship, believes that this is a valuable and important way of using her skills, knowledge and experiences to "give something back" that can have a lasting and positive impact of the lives of the country's future.

Julia states "Maximum Impact Solutions is about using training to both equip and empower individuals so that they can perform more effectively and efficiently, within their organisations so that they can both reach their full potential for growth and success, there is very little difference between education and training, with regards to the end result.

Knowledge is power and both education and training are used as tools to transfer knowledge, thus allowing individuals to achieve their own dreams and aspirations, is this is even more important when dealing with the youth and young.

I am really excited by the opportunity this new volunteering role will give me, as I have a real chance to make a difference to some aspiring futures"

One of Julia first roles as a business mentor will be to deliver a presentation to 400 Year 10 Maricourt School students on How skills from education can be used in business
