Julia won the Silver award for Freelance Trainer of the Year 2007, at the Institute of IT Training (IITT) Awards.
The annual IT Training Awards honour those individuals and organisations who really shine in the past year and are designed to celebrate their excellent achievements.
The select process started with a 3000 word submission about why she should be the IITT Freelance Trainer of the Year 2007.
After being short-listed in November 2006 the next stage of the selection process involved:
- A 15 minute presentation on the award submission,
- A 10 minute training session on How to Sell the Benefit of Training to your Client, and
- A gruelling Q & A session
by the IITT judges, at the Institute headquarters, on the 13th December 2006.
The judges awarded Julia with the Silver Award.
The judges were particularly impressed with the obvious passion present in all that she does.
The judges commented:
"Julia displayed tremendous energy, vitality and generated a fun and engaging learning environment.
Delivery was very much high energy and with confidence.
Julia makes the learning environment comfortable and non-threatening.
Julia understands well the dynamics of the classroom and is sensitive to all barriers to learning, removing those she can to promote greater effectiveness and business benefit"
