Prince's Trust - Business Mentor Volunteer |
|
Julia has become a Business Mentor Volunteer for the Prince's Trust.
The Prince's trust provides - Practical support,
- Mentoring, and
- Financial assistance
to 14-30 year olds to help them realise their potential, achieve their dreams and transform their lives.
The Trust focusses their efforts on those who have: - Struggled at school,
- Been in care,
- Been in trouble with the law, or
- Are long-term unemployed.
When Maximum Impact Solutions was set up in 2001, Julia always wanted to give something back, by using her knowledge, skills and experiences of setting up an IT training and consultancy business, as a young black women.
Passionate about business and the use knowledge as a way of empowering individuals to be able to change their personal circumstance and become successful, Julia feels that is role is a great fit with her company.
Julia states "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to help on a one-to-one basis individuals who want to set up their own businesses.
As I have gone through the process my self I have a wealth of resources that can be used to help others, and where others may see brick walls I just see opportunities for growth."
Julia's role will be to initially mentor a business on a one-to-one basis, which includes regularly monthly meetings, in a supportive role.
If you can spare at least an hour a month, give them a call, or visit the Prince's Trust website
Believe me, its well worth it, and you can make a difference.
