A client recently asked me how do I add the *.jpg graphics that have been stored in an Microsoft Accces 2003 database location field, to my report?
Solution:
The only way to get Crystal Reports to display the data is to use the Graphic Location feature.
To add a grpahic file from an Microsoft Access database location field, in Crystal Reports:
- From the Insert menu select the Picture option
- Select an image file
- Click on the report canvas to position the graphic
- Right click on the graphic
- Select Format Graphic
- In the Format Editor dialog box, click on the Picture tab
- Press the Conditional Formatting button [X + 2] for the Graphic Location
- In the Formula Workshop, select the field that holds the graphics location
- Press the Save and Close button
- Refresh the report
