A client contacted us with an unusual requested recently.
They had created a suite of reports in Crystal Reports 2008, which contained a number of parameters.
Some of these parameters was for internal use, and contained default values which they did not want the end user to see and/or change.
Within Crystal Reports, this was not a problem, but when the report was run with a 3rd party viewer the parameters became visible.
Solution:
- Create the Parameter
- In the Options:
- Make the Parameter Optional
- Enter a default value
- Show on (Viewer) Panel - False
