In this post, I'm looking at the 4 different types of intelligence, which are:
- IQ (Intelligence Quotient)
- EQ (Emotional Intelligence)
- ScQ (Social Intelligence)
- AQ (Adversity Intelligence)
- PQ (Physical Intelligence)
- SpQ (Spiritual Intelligence)
I'm not going to lie, I've never come across the last two, PQ SpQ, but I'm curious to know more.
Everyone is aware of IQ, mainly due to the tests, which was originally used to identify children who requires special educational services in schools. Today they are popular as a means to measure cognitive abilities, to predict job pereformance, accessing educational needs and as a basis for research into the causes of intelligence.
Emotional Intelligence measures the ability to handle emotions, and is seen as being important as it shown how well you can handle stress and deal with difficult situations. A low EQ could mean that you could struggle when facing emotional situations, such as dealing with conflicts or public speaking.
Determined by a myriad of factors including genetics, personality traits and childhood experinces, EQ may increase by improving your communication skills and managing your emotions.
Social Intelligence measures your abiility to interact with others, a combination of EQ and social skills, important as it allows you to navigate through social situations, build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively.
Those with high SQ typically can read social cues, understand other's perspectives and resolve conflicts.
AQ measures your ability to overcome adversity and achieve their gpals, and has been shown to be a predictor of success in life, an amalgamation of cognitive and emotional intelligence.
In life we all face adversity, but not everyone copes with it in the same way, Those with high AQ are more resilient and adaptable resulting in them achieving their goals, it considers how well you can use your cognitive (IQ) abilities to solve problems and your emotional intelligence to deal with challenging situations.
PQ is the most foundational of the intelligence types as it's your ability to sense, interpret and responds to the needs of your body i real time. More than just athletic peerformance PQ is about learning how to marshal and deploy your energy wisely during the day.
When you honour the intelligence of your body you create a strong, steady foundation from which all aspects of your life cab flourish, meaning that you think, feel, relate and live better.
SpQ, the last, is seen as the highest and most integrative form of intelligence, and deals with your capacity to seek and discern deeper meaning, purpose and values of life. SpQ invites you to ask: - What am I here?
- What matters most to me?
- What am I being called towards?
It's calling you to align with your most authentic self and the principles that guide you.
SpQ inviies you to dream, giving you the strength to persevere and the clarity to act in alignment with your deepest truth, connecting you to something greater than yourself, whether it's a higher power, or your inner barometer.
Larger than a belief system, spiritual intelligence is a way of being that guides and integrates all the other forms of intelligence.
A strong SQ allows you to becoe more resilient, purpose driven and capable of navigating lifes challenges with wisdom and grace.
What's your thoughts on this?
